Tatyana Smith is a quality care driven Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Psychotherapist. Adjunct professor teaching a field seminar course for undergraduate social work students with approximately 10 years as a Professional Social Worker. I enjoy sharing my varied experience in the field of social work and passion for teaching with students.
For the past approximately 10 years I have gained social work experience in the realms of child welfare monitoring cases of abuse and neglect, completing home visits, court testimony, state reviews. As well, I have worked as a Licensed Social Worker in hospitals since 2015 with an array of patients: psychiatric, med-surg/ccu, ortho, addictions etc regularly completing psychosocial assessments, solution focused counseling, motivational interviewing, interdisciplinary meetings, supervising team members, resource referrals etc. More recently, I obtained my clinical license and began working as an outpatient therapist. I provide individual and family therapy for children and adults facing depression and anxiety using a client centered and strengths based approach with a specialty in CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and meditation.
