Rosita Mazzi is an Italian social worker specializing in family treatment and Drug addiction treatment. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Pisa University as well as a degree in Sociology at Bologna University.
She works with a public health service named “Ser.t “in Ausl of Reggio Emilia in Italy. Rosita works a lot with group psychoeducational therapy using DBT Skills training or parent training. She also practices mindfulness treatment to aid in self- balance and combat burnout.
The work of a social worker is also an art, but this does not mean that there are no rules or references: we have a kind of universal grammar that goes beyond the boundaries of language or culture. These grammatical rules have to be called to mind every now and again and enriched with new rules that adaptation to social development requires.
The idea of attempting to standardise a social worker’s method of working in the field of treatment for addiction is something that has been a part of me for several years.
