Nicole joined the Global Social Service Workforce Alliance in 2015. She provides leadership for the development and implementation of the Alliance’s communications and advocacy strategies and tactics. She develops and distributes content relevant to and related to the social service workforce among 2000 Alliance members in 131 as well as other groups to garner greater interest and actions toward strengthening the workforce.
Nicole manages the Alliance advocacy activities, including Social Service Workforce Week, the Alliance Ambassador program and develop of tools and resources, including the Global Advocacy Toolkit for the Social Service Workforce and Call to Action for Strengthening the Social Service Workforce to Better Protect Children and Achieve the SDGs. Nicole has presented at several conferences and on webinars on the topic of advocating for the social service workforce and guiding participants in using tools and strategies for local advocacy and outreach to stakeholder groups.
Nicole has 15 years’ experience in leading strategic and tactical communications efforts at international organizations with a mission of strengthening systems of care and delivery of health and community services. She has traveled to more than 65 countries and worked with volunteers, international NGOs, government and civil society to promote programs that improve lives. She holds an MSc in Journalism from Roosevelt University in Chicago (Illinois, USA) and BA in Journalism from Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana, UA).
