John Victor Rautenbach
Prof John Victor Rautenbach is an Associate Professor and the current Head of the Department of Social Work and Social Development at the University of Fort Hare in South Africa, where he has worked for fifteen years.
He is an Executive Committee Member of the Association of South African Social Work Education Institutions (ASASWEI). He also serves as a Board Member of the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW), where he is the co-chair of the governance task force, Chair of the Standing Committee on the World Census of Social Work Programs and a member of the Budget and Finance Committee.
His teaching and research areas include Relationships, Marriage and Family Transitions and Developing the Marital Life Course Perspective; Clinical Social Work / Casework; Youth at Risk / Restorative Justice / The Child Justice Act; Community Development and Entrepreneurship. He also has an interest in Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis;
Concept Analysis and Evidence Based Practice.
