Biography

Dr. Adelaide Sandler, assistant professor of social work, earned her Ph.D. from University of Connecticut’s School of Social Work. Additionally, she earned a M.S.W. in social work policy from the University of Connecticut and a M.S. in community counseling from Western Connecticut State University. Her research focuses on voter engagement, social welfare policy, and empowerment practice. She has previously taught at Westfield State University, University of Connecticut, and St. Joseph University.  Her professional experience includes work in non-profit community agencies focused on youth and families, as well as, work in the political arena.
